This page discusses how to create a chart showing the total traffic utilization over a time interval like every 30-second or every hour in Capsa.
- Start a capture.
- On the Dashboard tab, create a new dashboard sub-tab as figure 1 (Input new tab name > select default layout > OK). You can ignore this step if you want the new chart placed in the default tab. But a new sub-tab delivers a better looking.
- Create a new utilization chart as instruction figure 2 (Enter chart name > select statistic counter - traffic - utilization > OK).
- Right-click on the traffic utilization chart, change the settings as instructed in figure 3 (Right-click on the chart > change display type – line, area, bar > change time interval – minute, hour). As pointed on the picture, select the time interval you need. Capsa shows the total traffic utilization over an interval of HOUR, MINUTE, and SECOND.
- Done.

Capsa 7.8 upgrades the graph display style. There are no 3D views any more for graphs on the Dashboard view. Top statistical graphs still provide bar charts.
For Capsa crash issues, please contact with support@colasof t.com. It would be better if you attach the crash reports.
Quoting JD:
I have purchased the Entreprise license for this software and I am running the latest up-to-date version 7.8.1 build 4863; I do not have these options between bar chart and 3D views ...
additionally now Capsa is crashing *VERY* regularly since the upgrade to this version ... to the point I am not using any more unless I really need to ... and every time with a little prayer and loads of hopes it ain't going to die on me.... not good ...
This graph is only affected by the activity on the computer it is running on.
