(2) Error message: "Some of the selected wireless network have been encrypted, please enter key."
For encrypted wireless networks, Capsa WiFi need the encryption key to decode the data. To enter encryption key, please double-click on you selected AP SSID and enter encryption keys.
(3) Error message: "All selected wireless networks must use the same channel!"
A wireless card communicates only in one channel at a time. Capsa WiFi is able to analyze traffic from multi-APs running on the same channel. If you want to analyze traffics on two different channels, please add the second wireless card and select it for another analysis project for second radio channel.
(4) I started a project, but I can't get useful data, why?
Please first check whether you are analyzing the correct AP. The most possible reason would be Capsa WiFi fails to decode the packets. You need to restart your wireless router (AP) and make sure that Capsa WiFi has captured all transferring data from the beginning of the 4-way handshake packets.
(5) How do I know whether my wireless card is supported by Capsa WiFi?
Capsa WiFi supports the latest NDIS 6.0 library wireless cards. Theoretically, all wireless cards working on Windows Vista and Windows 7 will work with Capsa WiFi. So here is a list of all the wireless cards that compatible with Windows 7, please visit: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Browse.aspx?type=Hardware&category=Networking&subcategory=Wireless%20Network%20Cards&os=64-bit
(6) Capsa WiFi is able to decrypt data, can I use it to crack an AP's encryption key?
No, you have to enter the pre-defined encryption key for the encrypted wireless network, Capsa WiFi use the same key to decrypt captured wireless packets. If you failed to enter a valid encryption key, Capsa WiFi will fail to decode all the captured packets.
(7) What operating systems are supported by Capsa WiFi?
Capsa WiFi will work on Windows Vista and Windows 7.

(9) When I start a capture, my machine losses its connection to wireless router and I can't access to the Internet. Why?
That's right. When you click the start button on the Start Page to initiate an analysis, your machine will be cut off from the Internet because the wireless card will be suspended in the so-called promiscuous mode and only listens traffic from the selected AP.
And when you close the application, it automatically brings connection back. So if you need internet access while analyzing wireless traffic, you have to add one more wireless card.
